Practice Facility

Driving Range

“Architecturally, the practice range is one of the first impressions a golfer gets of this course. We wanted it to be every bit as interesting as the golf course itself to reflect the character of the course.” —Garrett Gill, Course Architect..

Use of the driving range is complimentary with paid green fees, and a $15 fee will apply to anyone not paying green fees. Premium quality practice grade golf balls are used on the range to allow for a more natural feel for the golfer.

The driving range is designed to be both a practice and learning experience for the golfer. At the north end is the main practice tee close to the Starter Facility. The practice fairway area has been shaped, contoured, graded, and designed to reflect a Meadows at Mystic Lake fairway with water located behind the tee. This main practice tee has the capacity of approximately 35 stations, with a little over one acre of turf tee.

Putting Greens

Two large practice putting greens simulate putting conditions found on The Meadows at Mystic Lake in terms of slope and putting speed. Both greens were built to United States Golf Association (USGA) specifications (as were all greens on the course) and are seeded with the same bentgrass that is found on the course.

One putting green is 14,000 square feet and lies at the north end of the course, adjacent to the Starter Building and the main practice tee. This is the main putting green for golfers to practice putting or staging to play off the first tee. The other green is 8,000 square feet and adjacent to the clubhouse patio area.
